Casa Nova!

Salve pessoal!

Eagle Familiar!

Salve Pessoal!

Hello there!

A quick update today to showcase the familiar I created for my Librarian. It wasn’t used on the games as having terminator armor prevented me from using one. It stands a great model to my eyes nonetheless and because of that I intend to convert a couple more for the librarians of my other chapters.

Cheers!

Ultramarines in action!

Salve!

Hello there!

Today’s update is just a bunch of pictures of the Ultramarines showcased here during the last months in the their “theatre of operations”. Ultramarines in the FoM tournament!

See you guys sometime soon!

Marneus Calgar!

“The Ork warboss behind the “Waaagh” which threatened the entire system was mighty indeed. Much bigger then the average Space Marine he could easily dwarf one of the terminator armor clad marines. As is his huge bulky frame wasn’t enough he commanded his minions from the back of a cyboar which could only be dubbed a monster, its size rivaling the huge behemoths of the chaos gods known as “Juggernauts of Khorne”. As this hulking Ork advanced towards the lines of the Ultramarines Marneus Calgar issued the order: no one but him would face the warboss.

As Marneus’ retinue charged the warboss’ own retinue the two leaders threw themselves into the fray longing to meet in combat. The warboss cleaved marines in two wielding his huge blade carved out of a large piece of scrap metal. At the same time Marneus blasted orks into oblivion with his bolters. An enormous “clang” resonated on the battlefield as the warboss’ blade met the legendary Gauntlets of Ultramar. Roaring with angst the mighty Ork repeatedly slashed madly with his blade. Thrust and blow were parried and dodged by Marneus which in return managed to grasp the ork’s tusked head with his Gauntlets. A puzzled look crossed the Ork’s face as it realized its life was about to come to an abrupt halt. Effortlessly the commander of the Ultramarines smashed the Ork’s head into a bloody pulp”.

Salve!

Hello there!

The last but not the least is none other then the Lord Macragge: Marneus Calgar! None other then the supreme commander of the Ultramarines would lead my small force into battle.

You’ll probably notice the different head. Let’s say that after I misplaced the original one the Lord Macragge decided to shave his head for battle!

Cheers and see you again sometime soon!

Chaplain Lemuldus!

“He felt the scent on the air long before the pawns of the enemy descended from the skies. He didn’t need his enhanced senses to detect a putrid, acrid smell around them: The smell of Chaos. Screaming down came the Raptors pouring fire over the Ultramarines and the Vindicator tank nearby. With a roar of shear rage he advanced towards them thrashing madly against the foul warriors with his lightning claws. It was a matter of seconds before they laid dead on his feet, black ichors dripping from his terminator armor. He turned to face the oncoming demons spurring his battle brothers into a frenzy with his litanies of hate. It seemed battle never ceased”

Salve!

Desta feita trago a vocês o Capelão Lemuldus.

Hello there!

One of the last models left to showcase here I bring you today Chaplain Lemuldus.

I said above that if I had to chose a “miniature of the tournament” it would definitely have to be this guy. He packed a hell of a charge often decimating all enemies before the other terminators even had a chance to strike.

The one interesting thing about it is that its arms are held in place by magnets allowing me to use the depicted pair of lightning claws or the crozius Arcanum and storm bolter arms supplied with it.

Hope you like the model. See you soon.

Vindicator!

“The armored squiggoth was huge, by far the biggest he had ever seen on the planetoid ever since the Ultramarines had come to quell the rising Ork Waagh. The beast’s masters laid dead and dying all around and without them the squiggoth reverted to its feral state running berserk through the battlefield killing friend and foe alike heedless to the destruction it was wreaking.

From within the armored cockpit of the Vindicator “Vigilus” Brother Enon waited, still obeying the orders not to engage the huge behemoths until all greenskins were slain, watching while the monster ahead of him crashed head on against the ruins of an old building and tearing apart the howdah, and the weapons carried in it, on his back. Suddenly the voxcom came into life and the orders issued were clear and simple “Bring them down” sounded Captain Valius. The Vindicator tank kicked in almost instantly rumbling towards the squiggoth. The beast was still regaining its balance when the first round impacted against the exposed belly on its right flank. A huge chunk of the creature’s body was torn away blasted into a million pieces raining noxious meat and blood around it, and still the creature stood. Roaring of pain and angst it charged towards the approaching tank aiming its tusks and preparing a devastating blow. The tank didn’t swerve, stepping onto the accelerator Enos drove the tank towards the monster head on. “BOOOM” sounded a second shot from the demolisher cannon, this time impacting squarely onto the beast’s left shoulder throwing it off balance. As is came forward crashing down on it’s knees Enos swerved to his left one of the beasts tusks inadvertently tearing apart one of the adamantine plates that covered the vehicle’s hull. The squiggoth tried to rear back up but the blasted shoulder made standing up impossible as the ensuing explosion had left his front leg dangling by a few threads of muscle and tendon. The monster roared again, the sheer power its frustration shaking the battleground and the Space Marines that had gathered around the fallen creature and now peppered it with bolter fire. It still roared and vented its fury as the last round fired by the vindicator impacted on its head”.

Salve!

A performance do tanque nas partidas me surpreendeu.

Hello there.

Not wanting to be the one who brings a knife to a gunfight it downed on me pretty soon I needed more heavy weapons in the army if I was to do any better than offer a fighting resistance to other players’ victories on the tournament.

The disadvantage of using expensive units in small games is that they drain on the already somewhat scarce point allowance we have. Thus using the uber expensive unit composed by Marneus Calgar, a retinue of terminators and accompanying chaplain and librarian left my “point pool” depleted.

But I still felt I needed a tank over some more troops, specially because of the heavier punch they pack. I was torn between a regular Predator (not the lascannon totting version) and a seldom used Vindicator tank. Well this was supposed from the start to be different. I had already experimented with so much new stuff that it felt incoherent not to give the Vindicator a chance.

Suffice to say I was not disappointed by it!

See you guys soon.

Brother Librarian Tiberias!

“The huge armored form walked towards the hillcrest. Using a long ornate staff he seemed weary as if the carnage and bloodshed had finally taken its toll on the centuries old warrior. Around him the reinforcements brought down by the Thunderhawk gunship mopped up the last few remnants of the now scattered Eldar strike force. From the hill top he could see the burnt soil where Marneus and his retinue of warriors, himself included, had wiped the eldtrich commander and the accompanying warriors on jetbikes from existence. Flames could still be seen burning among the wreckage as he unclasped the psychic hood attached to his terminator armor.

As a cannon round impacted on the central structure of the battlefield on the distance, certainly trying to weed out the elder hiding within, he crouched down and scooped up a bit of earth from the ground, grinding it on his closed palm as he stood back up leaning heavily on his staff. He saw one of the so called banshees, an exarch as they called their leading officers, decapitate three marine brothers with one single sweep of her gracious blades as she somersaulted in the air, just to be torn apart by bolter fire as she landed on he feet. He had seen a thousand battles before and he’d see a thousand more before his end, but he felt something different about this one. Something… out of place, as if someone peered over his shoulders or hid on the very brinks of reality watching as the two forces butchered themselves. He outstretched his palm and blew the earth, now ground into fine dust. Some of the particles defied the laws of gravity and hung mid air shaping into the form of an eight pointed star. “Lord Calgar…” he said over the closed communication channel he shared with the chapter master “… we’be been tricked. The true enemy lies ahead and once more we face the traitors of mankind” informed the grim faced Tiberias as he walked down clasping his psychic hood back in place. There was still more war to wage before the day was over”.

Salve pessoal!

Hello there!

Today’s update brings you the photos of Brother Librarian Tiberias which was part of the army I took to the FoM tournament back in may.

This model completely blew me away back when it was released a while ago alongside all the new Dark Angel models. I knew almost instantly I had to have one in the army.

My efforts on painting it were rewarded when it won the best painted model award on the FoM!

Let me know what you think of it and do come back for more.
